THE RECONSTRUCTION OF ISLAMIC THOUGHT IN THE TWENTIETH CENTURY AND BEDIUZZAMAN SAID NURSI  

Professor al-Sayih graduated from al-Azhar University, and after receiving his doctorate, taught in the Department of Islamic Belief and Philosophy in the Usulu’d-Din Faculty in the same university. At present he teaches in Faculty of Islamic and Shan't Sciences in Qatar University. Professor al-Sayih is a member of the Association of Egyptian Writers, the Egyptian Philosophical Society, and the Jordan-ian Civilization Foundation. He has written numerous scholarly art-icles, and at present is making radio and television programmes for the Gulf countries. He has also taken part in numerous international conferences. Professor al-Sayih has written around thirty-five books on Islamic thought and other subjects, which have been, published in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Syria, and the Lebanon,
