Professor Dilek was born in Hınıs in Erzurum Province in 1949. In 1970 he graduated from the Faculty of Management in Atatürk University, and from 1970 to '72 taught in Erzurum School of Commerce. In 1972 he became an assistant in his former Faculty, in 1976 completed his doctorate, in 1983 became Assistant Professor, and in 1989 full Professor. At present he teaches in the Faculty of Economics and Management in İnönü University. Professor Dilek has many published works in his own field.
